MD Green Living Workshop launched with great success! Thanks to all who participated. From our initial workshop, we are creating three follow up events with local partners as requested by many participants.

The Green Living Summit started in 2008 as a small workshop in Hunt Valley, as an idea to help educate local businesses and residents on energy and green living options that reduce cost, increase personal and family health, and reduce environmental impacts at work and home. The Summit builds on that success to bring together leaders in the sustainability and environmental fields in the Baltimore area to educate and share their ideas, success stories, and collaborations with others so that Baltimore area residents and businesses can reap the benfits of living and working in a sustainable community.
The 2009 Baltimore Green Living Summit will be a great place to network with other business owners, environmental experts, and government leaders. The Summit will bring together industry leaders, policy makers, and business owners that are implementing green procurement, green building, green products and other initiatives, and working towards a more sustainable future.
Speakers include Congressman Roscoe Bartlett Douglas Hannah, Natural Resources Defense Council’s; Davis Bookhart, Baltimore Biodiesel: Jeff Dorety, Chesapeake Solar; Joseph Opdyke, Watervale Geothermal & Radiant Heating LLC; Brandon Farris Maryland Energy Administration; and Carrie Engel of Valley View Farms.
Fee: $40 Includes all sessions, breaks, Hayfields lunch with local food, and networking and learning opportunities.
